The first live-streamed underwater video observatory for scientific research has just gone live from a fjord on the west coast of Sweden. A team of scientists from the UK and Sweden have developed a permanent window into the marine world, allowing both researchers and the public alike continuous observations of natural processes in the marine environment.
ΒιΆΉ΄ε' Dr Kim Last explains the importance of this technology for ecological and behavioural studies: "Continuous data from the marine environment is a crucial advance that will provide a better understanding of how marine ecosystems function."
